Welcome to the boys club, girls.

Moose + Cole sells a curated collection of vintage men’s shirts for women. Hand selected from around the United States, these shirts are each as unique as the women that wear it.

I discovered the shirt that inspired this project in 2014 in Oldsmar, Florida. A navy blue, distressed cotton shirt with a sharp collar and the perfect fine stripes of red, white and green.  It was love at first sight and this shirt has became a signature item in my wardrobe. It's even received a compliment from the snobbiest barista that I've ever encountered, so I knew I was onto something.   Over the past four years I've continued to add shirts to the collection - keeping a close eye for detail, style and quality.

These are our dad's shirts, but they look damn good on us.

The button-down shirt has been a symbol of the working man since before the phrase “white collar” was coined during the industrial revolution. The short sleeve button-down shirt is the uniform of IT workers in the 1990's, baseball umpires, boy scouts, airplane pilots, and other roles reserved for men. This style was pushed to icon status by male fashion leaders like Homer Simpson, Milton Waddams, and Dwight K. Schrute.

Moose is a cute dog.  His schnauz is on the logo of every shirt.

Moose was adopted in 2015 in Los Angeles, CA. He likes treats, long walks on the beach, and destroying squeaky toys. He hates skateboards. He's brought a lot of joy to my life, and he's the mascot of Moose + Cole.

Feeling empowered and wearing cool shirts are great but, we wanted to do something more.

One of the most important friendships in my life is with a woman I met at my first job. I was an intern and she was an Executive. She knew I was going to be interviewing for a promotion to the open assistant position. She sat me down to give me advice. "Ask for more salary. Understand your benefits, including paid time off".  Still one of my closest friends she has been an essential guide in my professional career. My relationship with her has inspired me to want to support other women who are embarking on their career journeys.

Not every working woman has a support system, and we’d like to support them too.

Moose + Cole will donate $10 from each shirt sold to Dress for Success, an international nonprofit with the mission to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. If you want to learn more, find your local affiliate here and discover how you can get involved: donate clothes, support the organization financially, volunteer or help in other ways.

Each model featured on this website is a real working woman, with a story to tell.

The models you see on this website are inspiring women in my life. They have each volunteered their time and image to this project.

Look cool, cute dogs, help women. That's what we're about.
